LIGHT POLES
Light Pole on highway at end of runway

Light poles that skirt the boundry of an airport may be a hazard if they cross the end of a runway--normally following a road right-of-way.  The wires can be an extreme hazard to light aircraft and need to be studied and then filed with the FAA.  Often various means are required to make the pole and wires visible to landing or departing aircraft.
